Workforce ESP, ESP Self Service, and Automated Shift Callout are unavailable between 00:01 and 03:00 on the last Sunday of each month for scheduled maintenance.

Automated Shift Callout (ASC)

To improve employee experience and reliability to both receive and respond to broadcasts, Provincial Staffing Services highly recommends that AHS employees utilize the Vocantas App and remove SMS text messaging as their contact preference for receiving and responding to callouts via ASC.

SMS is susceptible to cellular network outages or dropped messages which may result in not receiving broadcasts or responses to a shift offer not being received by Provincial Staffing Services.

Since the rollout of the Vocantas App in 2020, push notifications have proven to be a more reliable communication method than SMS text messaging. Push notifications via the Vocantas App allow employees to respond 'yes' or 'no' to broadcasts without entering the reference number, and the messaging service is not susceptible to cellular network outages or dropped messages.

In order to ensure your broadcasts and responses are delivered on the most reliable communication network, please download the Vocantas Mobile App and then remove SMS as a contact preference in the ASC Employee Portal.

If you do choose to continue relying on SMS text messaging:
  • Effective September 26, 2023, the phone number used by Provincial Staffing Services to send and receive SMS (text message) broadcasts will be changing to 1-855-936-0755. Please do not block this number.
  • Please setup a secondary contact preference (Vocantas App, Email or IVR) and respond to broadcasts using multiple methods to offset cellular network outages or potential dropped messages.
